Peggy Leung Principal

BArch (Hons) UNSW
Registered Architect (Pui Kei Leung, NSW 8440)

Peggy discovered her love for architecture from an early age while building Lego structures. Her passion for architecture only continued to grow over the years, especially after becoming an architect.

Peggy’s style of architecture is centred around creating a unique spatial experience for its inhabitants. Through thoughtful manipulation of scale, proportion and rhythm in her work, Peggy curates the sensual and experiential journey of its occupants. She believes spaces can be framed via scale and proportion and when combined with the relationship to the immediate surroundings, gives a timeless quality to architecture. She has an exceptional eye for high-end, bespoke detailing, that is key to her design philosophy. Using a restrained palette of materials and subtle textures, she strives for the elusive qualities of timelessness and calmness.

Prior to co-founding PARA with Ray, she was employed at an award winning practice, Bates Smart Sydney for four years, where she gained valuable experience working on a range of projects including multi-million dollar residential buildings, student accommodation, and commercial buildings. She was extensively involved in the design development and construction documentation of Boheme Bondi, a large mixed-used development.

Raymond Fung Principal

Nominated Architect (NSW 8512)
DBP registration DEP0001632 (Architectural)
RAIA Member

Ray is a registered architect with 15+ years experience in the industry. He has worked in lead roles as architect for several high-profile apartment and mixed-use developments before starting PARA. He has also been employed as project architect on a range of renovations and bespoke houses in Sydney.

Ray has cultivated a design aesthetic that combines the practical and the sublime. He has developed a keen interest in the making of things and brings this attention to detail to the crafting of buildings and spaces. Ray takes a methodical and empirical approach to any design challenge while never losing sight of the artful.

Since co-founding PARA with Peggy, Ray has had extensive experience in the delivery of residential architecture from the early concept design stage through to construction contract management. This has given him wide ranging knowledge of the current legislative framework around construction, plenty of on-site experience and an understanding of the opportunities and constraints of building.
